I hope all the children and families are doing well and are staying healthy! With these uncertain times unfortunately the Easter play as well as the Easter Egg hunt have been postponed.  During this break from each other I encourage families to turn to God and rely on Him to get you through this difficult time.  Since we cannot meet each week I have put together a list of things to do while at home that will help you stay active and keep you connected with God.

Read the bible together as a family

Have a family devotion time

Have a worship dance party

Plan a Christian movie night

Kids plan a church service at home

Learn a memory verse together

Act out bible story skits

Go for a prayer walk as a family

Additionally, this year’s VBS theme has been set and preparations are underway. We have high hopes that this virus will be under control by then and we can continue with VBS as planned. The theme, “Knights of the North Castle” will inspire kids to armor up with God and learn what it means to be strong in the strength of God’s power.  We will need many willing volunteers to help make this VBS a success! Come be a part of what is sure to be a God-inspired event.

TWEENS (4th/5th Graders)…

From Group Publishing:  “We asked preteens what questions they had about their faith…They had plentyincluding some real mind-benders.  Questions about God.  About themselves.  About where they fit in the world.”

Developmentally, your preteens are on the edge physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.  They’re deciding what they believe.  They have faith questions that can’t be answered with simple fill-in-the blank answers.  One preteen said it this way: “Why can’t we ask hard questions at church?  Why can’t someone help me to understand?”

Beginning Wednesday, August 21st at 5:30pm preteens (“Tweens” 4th & 5th Graders) will gather together in the MMC (Multi Ministry Center) for dinner and the “Be Bold”  Bible Study.  Mark your calendars now!!

Nursery Ministry

Also during Wonderful Wednesdays 6pm – 8pm (Dinner is at 5:45pm, programming for children & youth begins at 6:30pm and Worship for adults begins at 6:30pm).   Each of our Nursery Staff members completes a background check, is CPR Certified and undergoes annual training in accordance with the United Methodist Conference’s Children’s and Youth Protection Policy.  We strive to ensure that each child experiences a  warm, welcoming, Christian atmosphere where each he/she can learn about & experience the love of Jesus.
